Meridian Guides publishes Klang Valley Plumber Guide, an independent directory of plumber businesses in Klang Valley. Most visits leave nothing personal with us at all. This page covers the cases that do: enquiry forms, attribution data, and the third-party services the site loads.

Information this site collects

We collect personal information only when you submit a form. A submission includes your name, email address, phone number, message, and any answers about the service or timing you selected. It also includes the page URL you were on and how you arrived at the site (the referrer and any UTM parameters), which we use to understand where enquiries come from.

Where your enquiry goes

Form submissions are processed by our lead-capture processor and delivered to the business you enquired about and to the operator of this site. If you asked a specific plumber business for a quote, that business receives your details so it can respond.

What the site stores in your browser

The site uses sessionStorage in your browser to remember how you arrived (referrer, landing page, UTM parameters) so that an enquiry sent later in your visit carries the right source. It is first-party and session-scoped, not a tracking cookie; it is gone when your browser session ends and is never shared across sites.

Usage measurement

Where analytics is enabled on this site, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may set cookies to help us understand which pages visitors use. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that data.

Services this site loads

Three third-party services can receive requests from your browser while you use this site: Google Fonts, which serves the site’s typefaces; OpenStreetMap, which serves map tiles; and Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects forms from spam when enabled. Each sees request data such as your IP address and handles it under its own policy.

Information about listed businesses

Information about listed businesses comes from publicly available sources, including Google Business Profile reviews. The site stores our derived analysis of that material (scores, summaries, sentiment tags) rather than the reviews themselves. Corrections and removal requests are handled through the listing policy.

Retention and your requests

We keep enquiry details for as long as they are needed to route and follow up your enquiry. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, contact hello@meridianguides.my.
