What this is
Klang Valley Plumber Guide is an independent directory covering 248 plumbing businesses across Klang Valley, from Petaling Jaya and Subang to Cheras, Klang, and Ampang. It’s built for homeowners, landlords, and property managers who want to compare local plumbers on more than a single star rating before they call anyone.
We are also honest about the other half of what we do: Klang Valley Plumber Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource, and we generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for that introduction. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings, and the quote page spells this out again before you submit anything.
Where the data comes from
Each listing draws on public business information (things like address, services, and contact details) plus a synthesis of recent Google reviews for that business. We don’t republish review text or copy star ratings wholesale; instead we distill patterns in what customers are saying and link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.
How rankings are earned
Rankings come from a published rubric applied to that data, nothing else. No plumber pays to move up the list, and no advertiser edits their own position. The full method, including what’s scored and how it’s weighted, is on our methodology page.
A business that finds an error in its own listing, wrong phone number, outdated hours, a service area that’s changed, can ask us to correct it. What a listed business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or rank. Those stay tied to the rubric and the data behind it.
Sponsorship, kept separate
Some pages carry sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored,” shown in their own space apart from the ranked list, and have zero effect on where a business lands in the earned rankings. If you see a plumber ranked first, that position was earned under the rubric, not bought.
Who’s behind it
This directory is published by Meridian Guides, founded in 2025 to run independent city directories for everyday services across Malaysia, starting with plumbers here in the Klang Valley. Every directory Meridian Guides runs, including the main site at meridianguides.my, applies the same transparent scoring process to every business it features, and no payment ever changes a score.
Janice, Editor, maintains the rankings on this site and oversees how the rubric gets applied listing by listing. Data is refreshed monthly, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see exactly when it was last checked, not just trust that it was.

- Does a plumber pay to rank higher on this site?
- No. Rankings come only from the published rubric applied to public business data and review sentiment. Sponsored placements are labelled separately and never change a business's earned rank.
- Can a business edit its own review score?
- No. A listed business can correct factual details like its phone number or service area, but it cannot edit its score, sentiment summary, or ranking.
- How often is listing data updated?
- Data is refreshed monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
- What happens if I ask to be matched with a plumber?
